LEAST Favorite Dolls, Looks-wise

Mine are:
(1) Addy(Love her stories and clothes and accessories, but dislike her hairstyle and not a big fan of her facemold, which is ironic 'cause I'm usually a big fan of African-American dolls.)
(2) Molly(boring coloring and not a big braids fan)
(3) the medium-skinned biracial?/African-American AGT with straight hair and bangs(bangs just aren't a good look for Addy's facemold-the prettiest dolls with Addy's mold, IMHO is the dark-skinned AGT w/o bangs and the new biracial one)
(4) the blonde-haired, blue-eyed AGT w/bangs(boring coloring and I'm generally not into bangs)
(5) Nellie(Josefina's facemold doesn't look good with bangs and shorter hair, IMO)

I have to agree with you on Addy... I love the AA dolls and maybe I'm mistaken, but Addys hair seems like it would be hard to do anything with.. those of you that have her can maybe say otherwise.. I also do not like the Asian GT #4, something about her face mold just scares me! LOL I also think GT #19 has the scariest looking eyes..
The rest of the historicals I have to say I really like, however I dont think I will be purchasing Kaya...

The doll I dislike the most looks-wise is Elizabeth. There are a few today dolls that I don't care for but I don't dislike them. I just don't like bangs much.

I didn't like Addy for a really long time - I didn't like her face mold at all. But then I saw her in person and she really grew on me. I think she is much prettier in person than she is in pictures. And actually, her hair is very easy to play with, at least in my opinion. Because of the texture, it is incredibly easy to braid and style, as it tends to "take" styles and stay in them so much better than dolls with slippery hair. Right now I have the front parts of her hair put in lots of tiny braids, with all those tiny braids braided into two larger braids on each side and then pulled back with the rest of her hair into a braided bun. It looks gorgeous!

Okay, now back to the topic - my least favorite dolls. I have never liked AGT 11, the medium skinned doll with Addy's face mold and the heavy bangs. I don't think that mold looks good with those thick bangs at all. And I also do not like Elizabeth. Something about her face mold just looks "off" to me, even though I love that face on Nellie. I also don't like the curls hanging down on the sides. In some pictures they seem to look okay, and then in others they seem to hang weirdly and look frizzy. There's also something very "Jan Brady" about those curls. [img]confused.gif[/img] When I look at her I think she should be dressed in bell bottoms, not gowns!

I like all the dolls, but if I had to pick one that I disliked just based on looks it would be Kaya. Sorry, Kaya!~ [img]graemlins/cry.gif[/img]

I am just not attracted to that serious look.

I have a hard time disliking any of the dolls. I would have to say that some of the AGT dolls are not quite my thing... like 11 with the bangs or 19. The new green eyes are kinda scary looking. I love green eyes but the new ones are kinda neon... wishing they'd go back to old school Felicity's color.

I actually don't like the new curled hair doll. I don't think the hair matches her skin tone well, and her nose really bothers me.

A lot of people are talking about Addy, and I have to say I love Addy. When I was little I was going to get a Molly doll, and then they released Addy and I immediatly changed my mind. She was just so beautiful, and I love her skin tone. She was the only doll who's hair I played with, but I think I mostly just rebraided it how it was.

I pretty much like all of the dolls. If I had to choose, 11 would probably be the one I like least. She does have a different look however, so if you have a bunch of dolls, she would be a good one to add because she does stand out.

For those of you afraid of Addy's hair, don't be! Her hair is easy to work with. I too was afraid of it...mostly because I saw the neighbors doll who's hair was pretty scary. We have had no problems at all. We also have 15, and her hair is easy as well.
